Jetpack Stats
We use Jetpack Stats to track and analyze your visit. Below is a description of what data we collect, how it’s stored and used, and your rights.
Data Used
IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Please also see Data Visibility and Retention information below this feature.
Activity Tracked
Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. When this feature is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the JavaScript file we use for Stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, JavaScript files, CSS files, etc.).
Data Visibility and Retention
Any piece of data explicitly identifying a specific user (IP address, WordPress.com ID, WordPress.com username, etc.) is not visible to us when using this feature. For example, we can see that a specific post has 285 views, but we cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post.
Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used only for the purpose of powering this feature.
Google AdSense
Our website uses Google AdSense, a service that displays ads provided by Google. To improve ad relevance, Google and its partners use cookies and similar tracking technologies based on users’ previous visits to this and other websites.
These cookies help deliver personalized advertisements tailored to your interests. Third-party vendors, including Google, may collect data from your browsing activity to serve relevant ads.
Users can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or using third-party opt-out tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
We comply with Google’s Publisher Policies and adhere to the EU User Consent Policy where required.
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you are a California resident, you can request details about the personal information collected and opt out of its sale.
